Studio Plein Ciel

Comfortable, bright, sunny!
We loved the apartment. We spent only two nights, but wish we could have stayed longer!

A very nice clean and tidy studio apartment in a quiet street. We stayed here for five nights in June and found it a perfect location to explore the Normandy beaches and museums. The centre of Bayeux is only a 10 minute walk away where there are plenty of restaurants, there is also a large supermarket at the top of the road which is very convienient.

We found this spacious studio apartment a great place to stay for our visit to Bayeux and the surrounding Normandy countryside. It is ideally situated a short walk from the cathedral and historic centre of the town, with lots of shops and restaurants. If you're looking for groceries, the Leclerc store is at the end of the street in the other direction, about a 15 minute walk. Safe street parking was easy to find, just around the corner. We used this as our base for exploring the WWII battle of Normandy sites. The location of the studio was ideal to make day trips in both directions short enough to enjoy the lovely countryside. The studio is as advertised, with a small, well equipped kitchen, nice WC, a good bed and a very comfortable sitting area with couch and chair. The large balcony was an unexpected plus. It was a nice place to relax after a day traveling. Although south facing it has a power awning that provides shade until the sun goes down behind the large trees that line the street in front of the building. Michael and Sally were very gracious hosts who made our stay very enjoyable. We recommend Studio Plein Ciel.

A very warm welcome from Sally and Michael. A lovely well furnished modern apartment in a residential block. Unlimited heating (great for our pre-Christmas stay) & wifi. Easy free parking and a stones throw from the Cathedral. The whole town was beautiful with its Christmas lights and we splashed out on treats & gifts to take home. We would highly recommend

This apartment is beautiful - the pictures don't do it justice. It has south facing floor to ceiling windows the whole width of the apartment that lead to the balcony with a table and two chairs. The small kitchen is well equipped with fridge, hob and a microwave / convection oven. Sally has thought of everything ! It is a seven minute walk to the town centre which is absolutely beautiful. and a major supermarket is a 10-15 minute walk away. As with most European accommodation, soap and shampoo are not provided. I would highly recommend this apartment for it's charm and great location.

This apartment was definitely our home while in Bayeux, and that feeling began when we were met at the train station and driven to the apartment, located less than a block from Place Charles de Gaulle, our entry to the center of historic Bayeux. The apartment is immaculately kept, and provided us with virtually everything we needed for our week-long stay there. Lovely balcony, hot plate, microwave/conventional oven, refrigerator/freezer, cookware and table ware, coffee maker, very comfy bed, excellent towels, comfortable, inviting sitting area, newly redone bathroom, with perfect shower … The apartment is located in a quiet residential area. If you are driving, safe street parking is not difficult to find. Most Bayeux sites (if not all) and shopping or dining are easily reached on foot. We loved the Saturday morning market, just 2 blocks away. At the end of our stay, Michael and Sally drove us back to the rail station. Bless them.

Great flat in what I would call central Bayeux, only a short walk to the cathedral, the Tapestry, the Battle of Normandy Museum and all the shops and restaurants along the main downtown street. It is also just a couple of blocks from a new Leclerc superstore where you can pick up all your grocery and wine needs although all of this is available in the shops downtown. If you have a car, the location is also ideal for quickly getting you out of town to the various attractions in Normandy. The apartment building is in a residential area so pretty quiet. It is an older building but well maintained, and the unit itself has all new furnishings that are good quality and comfortable. The most striking feature is the front of the unit consists of glass doors so the amount of natural light is amazing. It also has a great balcony to sit on and relax. We stayed here for over a week and enjoyed every minute. We would definitely rent this unit again.
